Saltbox Needleworkes is proud to be a family run business, we are are in Groveland, Florida - 25 minutes from Mickey Mouse!
My love of crafting started at a very young age, it's a love that I inherited from my mother who was extremely creative. She was an amazing seamstress, painter, baker, cook, and a Brownie & Girl Scout Troop Leader. It was through the camaraderie of the Scouts and helping my mother develop projects that I learned to love all types of crafts. Mom said I was born with a screwdriver, a paintbrush and a sewing needle all tucked in my diaper!
I've enjoyed many artistic adventures (in my 50+ years) such as; folk art painting, woodworking, furniture restoration, crochet, corsetry, leather work and of course sewing/embroidery/cross stitching. Sewing has always been a huge part of my life. I was hand sewing by the time I was 4, and needle and thread have not been far from my hand ever since. So, I am a hand crafter through and through! Just go look at all the various crafts in my garage, lol!
How we got here - SALTBOX NEEDLEWORKES was born out of my love of Cross Stitching and the camaraderie that is found within the Needleworkers Community, which has welcomed me with open arms. I have met some of the most generous, funny, caring and truly lovely people that one could ever imagine!
I only sell patterns that I would be proud to stitch myself, and products that meet my standards.
Our Customer Service Experience - I started working retail at the age of 16 and I have run several businesses as well as six websites and a 40,000 square foot warehouse all at the same time!
